Olelo receives or collects information when we operate and provide our Services, including when you install, access, or use our Services.
Your Account Information. When you create an Olelo account, we may collect your name, e-mail address and e-mail preferences, a password for your account, and mobile, home, or other telephone numbers. We may also ask you to provide additional information on an optional basis in connection with setting up your account.
You may also sign up by using your log-in credentials from social networking websites, such as Facebook or Google. When you register in this way, we may collect Personal Information from the social networking websites that you have given us permission to collect or made publicly available. The information Olelo obtains may depend on your privacy settings with the social networking website.
Your Calls. We do not retain the audio of connected calls in the ordinary course of providing our Services to you. We may, for the purposes of improving our speech recognition capability, retain portions of transcripts in a transitory and anonymized form. Other than related to this purpose, once captions are delivered to your device, they are deleted from our servers. Transcripts are stored on your own device.
In the case of voicemail messages left for you, we may retain a transcript for up to 30 days if it cannot be delivered immediately (for example, if your device is offline). If a voicemail transcript is still undelivered after 30 days, we delete it.
All transcripts delivered via Olelo are protected with end-to-end encryption. While we are dedicated to protecting the privacy of your calls, be aware that no company, including us, can fully eliminate security risks connected to handling information on the internet.
Customer Support. You may provide us with information related to your use of our Services, including copies of transcripts, and how to contact you so we can provide you customer support. For example, you may send us an email with information relating to our app performance or other issues.
Feedback. When you give us feedback, we may collect any information that is contained in your feedback. When you contact us by sending us an e-mail, fax, or letter, we collect your e-mail address, fax number, or mailing address, and any information contained in the e-mail, fax, or letter you send us.
Usage and Log Information. We collect service-related, diagnostic, and performance information. This includes information about your activity (such as how you use our Services, how you interact with others using our Services, and the like), log files, and diagnostic, crash, website, and performance logs and reports.
Transactional Information. If you pay for our Services, we may receive information and confirmations, such as payment receipts, including from app stores or other third parties processing your payment.
Device and Connection Information. We collect device-specific information when you install, access, or use our Services. This includes information such as hardware model, operating system information, browser information, IP address, mobile network information including phone number, and device identifiers. We collect device location information if you use our location features, and for diagnostics and troubleshooting purposes such as if you are having trouble with our app’s location features.
Your Contacts. Olelo does NOT collect your mobile phone or social network contacts, or manage contact information on our servers. All contacts are maintained by your device and functionality provided by your device, such as Google or Facebook contacts.
Call Metadata. Call Metadata including call date and time information, and called and calling party phone numbers, is logged by Olelo, and is used only for the purposes of improving our Service.
Third-Party Providers. We work with third-party providers to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our Services. For example, we work with companies to distribute our apps, provide our infrastructure, delivery, and other systems, supply location information, process payments, help us understand how people use our Services, and market our Services. These providers may provide us information about you in certain circumstances; for example, app stores may provide us reports to help us diagnose and fix service issues.
We use information provided by you or collected automatically to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our Services.
We may use your information you have provided to send you electronic newsletters or promotional e-mails, unless you have requested not to receive such promotional communications from us.
Security. We verify accounts and activity, and promote security on our Services, such as by investigating suspicious activity or violations of our policies, and to ensure our Services are being used legally. We communicate with you about our Services and features and let you know about our terms and policies and other important updates.
We may create Anonymous Information records from Personal Information. We reserve the right to use and disclose Anonymous Information at our discretion. "Anonymous Information" means information that is not associated with or linked to your Personal Information.
You share your information as you use and communicate through our Services, and we share your information to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our Services.
We work with third-party providers to help us operate, provide, improve, understand, customize, support, and market our Services. When we share information with third-party providers, we require them to use your information in accordance with our instructions and terms or with express permission from you.
If you would like to manage, change, limit, or delete your information, we allow you to do that through the following tools:
Services Settings.Services Settings. The Olelo mobile application provides a "do not caption" mode for conversations, or portions of conversations, for which you do not want captioning to occur.
Changing Your Account Information. You may change your account information including name, contact information, and mobile, home, or other phone numbers by using our web site or making a request to our support team, or via your account page on the Olelo website.
Deleting Your Olelo Account. You may delete your Olelo account at any time (including if you want to revoke your consent to our use of your information) by making a request to our support team. When you delete your Olelo account, any undelivered captions (for example, those associated with undelivered voicemail messages) are deleted from our servers as well as any of your other information we no longer need to operate and provide our Services. If you only delete our Services from your device without using requesting account deletion, your information may be stored with us for a longer period. We may be required (by law or otherwise) to keep this information and not delete it (or to keep this information for a certain time, in which case we will comply with your deletion request, only after we have fulfilled such requirements). When we delete Personal Information, it will be deleted from the active database, but may remain in our archives.
We may collect, use, preserve, and share your information if we have a good-faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond pursuant to applicable law or regulations, to legal process, or to government requests; (b) enforce our Terms and any other applicable terms and policies, including for investigations of potential violations; (c) detect, investigate, prevent, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of our users, Olelo, MachineGenius Inc., or others.
